I have two types of looms. One is huge. 6ft long x 18" high.
The other loom is only 3ft long and 18" high and looks like this:
I used to weave on the larger loom, but my back can't take it anymore, so I weave on this smaller one.
What I do is string the loom like this:
Then I weave 4 pieces like this: Tieing it off in the middle.
After I weaved 4 pieces, then I stitch them together like this:
The result is a nice, thick soft mat. I test every one of them. If I wont sleep on it, I wont let a homeless person sleep on it.
And there you have it! It's pretty simple, but it takes dedication and exactness. It also takes time. When my back feels better, I will explain how to weave a mat on a big loom. But that's for another post.
